Welcome to The Lions Den

The Den is a Baseball Training Facility in Northeast Houston (Porter) ran by professional pitchers Tyler Beede and Matt Tabor. With a staff of 3 pitching coaches, a strength and conditioning coach, an in house PT and remote college recruiting guide (Walter Beede), we are able to truly impact the whole players circle. We develop our athletes foundation on our 5 pillar process: Strength & Conditioning, Skill Development, Injury Mitigation, Human Performance and Player Pathway. Our comprehensive approach includes data from Trackman, ProplayAi, Force Plates and edgertronic motion capture video to give us the opportunity to get the clearest picture of the athletes strengths and needs! We are more than a facility, we are a family!

At The Lions Den we pair high level coaching with advanced level technology. With our own Trackman unit, Edgertronic camera, Hawkin Dynamic Force plates and much more, we are able to better identify areas of strength, and areas for improvement, for each of our guys!

Skill Development

Skill Development is mostly the main focal point for training facilities. As we too certainly want to see our pitchers move more efficiently and performance at their highest level, we also know it takes much more to development than just throwing a baseball. 

Strength Conditioning

We emphasize strength and conditioning to ensure that our athletes are in peak physical form and able to make the proper adjustments needed in their deliveries. Our custom workouts and training regimens, based upon comprehensive movement assessments, are tailored to enhance performance and prevent injuries.

Recovery

When it comes to the ways we mitigate injuries most at The Den we rely heavily on our pro level recovery modalities. Things like Saunas, Cold Tubs, Compression therapy, Red Light Therapy, and even our own world renowned PT's. We want to take care of all the needs our guys have during their seasons! 

Mental Performance

Agility is key to dominating the game. Our agility drills are designed to improve footwork, lateral movement, and overall coordination, giving our players a competitive edge.
